The Chatra family's third sibling, Shaika Jannat, has achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) in 2026. This achievement is all the more impressive considering the family's previous successes with siblings Asjad Shamim and Sarba Kausar also clearing NEET in 2022 and 2024, respectively. Shaika's journey to NEET success is a testament to the power of discipline, hard work, and perseverance. Her story, along with that of another remarkable student, Sana Aryan, highlights the potential for academic excellence within the Chatra district and beyond.
Shaika Jannat, a 21-year-old from the Chatra district, secured an impressive 570 marks and an All-India Rank (AIR) of 23,554 in her third attempt at NEET. Her academic journey began at Nazareth School and continued at Upendranath Verma Inter College, Chatra, where she completed her intermediate studies in 2022. Recognizing the importance of quality coaching, Shaika joined an institute in Patna for medical coaching, which significantly contributed to her NEET preparation. Her dedication and hard work paid off, as evidenced by her scores in previous attempts (545 marks in 2024 and 454 in 2025). To further enhance her preparation, she moved to Kota for a one-year course, ultimately cracking NEET.
"Discipline, hard work, perseverance, and proper planning helped me clear the block to pursue my dreams," Shaika shared. Her father, Ahmad Shamim, a retired teacher, expressed pride in his children's achievements, stating that their success stories will inspire others to pursue their dreams and work hard to achieve them. The former principal of Upendranath Verma Inter College, Sanjay Kumar, also praised Shaika's academic prowess, emphasizing her status as a meritorious student.
Another notable success story emerged from Mayurhand block in Chatra district, where Sana Aryan, a 19-year-old from Suhai village, cleared NEET-2026 in her very first attempt. Sana, a former student of DAV Public School and St. Augustine Senior Secondary School in Hazaribag, demonstrated exceptional academic prowess from the start. Her success is a testament to the supportive environment provided by her schools and the guidance of her teachers.
In a separate achievement, Satyam Kumar Yadav, a 22-year-old from Panchmadhav village in Barhi block of Hazaribag district, scored an impressive 615 out of 720 marks, securing an AIR of 5,969. Satyam's success is attributed to the support of his parents, Lakhan Gope and Kalyani Devi, who are a transport businessman and homemaker, respectively. He credited his teachers for their guidance and advised students to work consistently towards their goals.
